Another day… another Welsh legend for you to enjoy! Today read all about ‘The Cow on the Roof’.  Here are your comprehension questions based on the story:
  • Why do you think Mari smiles when she goes to the fields?
  • How does Sion manage to hear the sound of the pig while the baby is crying?
  • What makes the pig screech louder?
  • What other words could be used instead of screech to describe the noise of the pig?
  • What is the full list of jobs that Sion has to do?
  • Where does he start to go wrong?
  • What words would you use to describe Sion?
  • What do you think is the moral of the story so far?
  • Do you think that Mari enjoyed her day?  Give reasons for your answer.
Imagine that this story is being planned as a film.  Which 10 shots do you think would be vital to the action?  Make an outline of your 10 shot plan using a box for each shot.  Under each box note the sound effects needed.

I’ve added your daily maths problem and I would also like you to try out J2 Measure on HWB. There's a video explaining what it can do below.

Check out  the movement and mindfulness videos on Go Noodle to keep yourself healthy and happy during your isolation

The classical musician and radio presenter Mylene Klass is offering free music lessons as part of a "Klass timetable" for children stuck at home.  Take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XXmBlTadys#myleenesmusicklass

Remember to keep in touch.  How did you getting on with drawing your eye yesterday?  I’d love to see the results.  Take a picture and tweet them or post them on HWB so we can all see how creative you are.  Today’s drawing challenge is to draw your favourite animal - perfect for Penny!  Mo Willems—a bestselling author and illustrator—has announced that he will be teaching drawing every weekday on YouTube to children who are now at home. Mo will be having sessions called Lunch Doodles.  If you need help with your daily drawing challenge check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmzjCPQv3y8
Take care
