Your Welsh legend today is one of my favourites - Daughters of the Sea. Here are your activities based on the story - remember you can either complete them in your home learning books or on J2E in HWB.
Have a go at using the Topmarks clock https://www.topmarks.co.uk/time/teaching-clock to make the correct times. Find games below which allow you to work with times to 1 minute. Don’t forget to think about the 24 hour clock and how this would look digitally. Think about time lapse questions using the tv schedule or train journeys. https://www.sheppardsoftware.com/mathgames/earlymath/on_time_game1.htm
Remember to keep practising on ActiveLearn and I will start to post a daily maths problem for you to solve. Try today’s problem below.
I know you are a creative bunch and really enjoy drawing. Have a go at some of these activities courtesy of TCS Expressive Arts. Tweet your creations for us all to enjoy! If you need some help with your drawing skills, check out Rob Biddulph’s website. He is a bestselling and multi award-winning author/illustrator who has started publishing daily drawing videos for children to follow along: http://www.robbiddulph.com/draw-with-rob
Have a good day and keep safe.

- Make up your own description for the beautiful daughters’ hair, eyes and skin.
- What moves the foliage in the sea-god’s garden?
- What else lives in his crystal palace?
- Does the world under the sea seem attractive to you? Say why or why not.
- What words would you say describe Dylan’s character? Write 5 words and explain your choice like this - Dylan was kind because….
- Try writing the story as a fractured narrative e.g. I am Dylan. I have been lonely in my coral home. I long for fresh beauty. The sea sings only sad songs.
