Morning everyone.  It was lovely to speak with most of you yesterday - I am certainly missing the best class in the school!  Here are your activities today - don’t worry if you are having IT issues.  Just take a photo of your work and send it to me via Google Classroom or attach it to an email.  I don’t mind how I get your work; it’s just nice to see that you are keeping your brains active.

Time to write today!  The challenge is all about the Mirror of Erised.  Read the extract from Chapter 12 then choose a character and write what they might see in the mirror.  Remember, Erised is desire backwards. When people look into the mirror they see what their heart most desires.  There are prompts on the worksheet to help you.  You should aim to write between one and two pages of descriptive writing.  Don’t forget your grammar and punctuation but the most important thing is to empathise with your chosen character.  I look forward to reading your writing.

Today I would like you to practise finding a difference using decimals and change.  As usual there are learning reminders that show you what you need to do, a check to see if you have mastered today’s work and some help if you are a bit stuck.  There are 2 practice sheets today - mild and hot- and so choose the one that you think is more suitable for you.

Challenge
We are certainly living in strange times and nothing like the current lockdown has ever happened before!  Your challenge today is to think what life will be like in the future.  Use the attached image to think about your life, your personality and your future goals.  What will you be like in 25 years’ time?  What will be the most important things you have learned from the current lockdown?  What things will you consider important?

Have a good day and a smashing weekend.  See you back here and on Google Classroom on Monday morning.
