Welcome back to online learning my lovely lot. Hope you had a good Easter and didn’t eat too many eggs. I hope you have rested your brains and are ready to start a new term of work. Every day I will be uploading a task for English and Maths and a daily challenge. I expect you all to attempt every English and Maths task and send me your work on Google Classroom or J2E. The daily challenge is optional and can be completed and sent to me if you have some extra time.
English
We will start a unit of work today based on Harry Potter. If you have the book/audio book/film of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone it would be great if you could read, listen or watch up to the beginning of Chapter 4. Don’t worry if you can’t - you can complete the activities perfectly well without accessing these. Remember though that this is one of the books that are available on Audible’s new free platform https://stories.audible.com/pdp/B017V54W6O?ref=adbl_ent_anon_sc_pdp_pc_0
and so head over to take a listen.
Start by reading the extracts which tell us about when Hagrid first appears. Answer the questions based on the 2 extracts. You can complete them on the sheet and upload them to Google Classroom or answer in J2E.
