Bore Da Class 13!
I hope you've enjoyed a restful and enjoyable weekend. Remember, there's no homework anymore so take the weekends off fully, as long as you've worked your socks off through the week!
Science
We'll be continuing with the science experiment tomorrow, where I'll be uploading a video of myself doing it with Ruan so... Today we need to write out a method and results table to go along with your predictions and equipment lists from last Thursday. Make sure you've got your ice ready. If you don't ice cube trays in your freezer, you could just free a tub with 2.5 centimetres (1 inch) of water in the bottom and then break it up once it's frozen.
The method is going to be up to you to write, I'm only going to give you a few hints;

The method is going to be up to you to write, I'm only going to give you a few hints;
- You must use time connectives to write it out.
- You must include placing your hand in the water with each different variable included.
- The variables are; bare hand (control variable), bare hand in a plastic bag (to simulate skin), bare hand covered in lard (or margarine) and finally, bare hand in a plastic bag which is also filled with lard (or margarine).
- You also need to mention how we're measuring the experiment (using the timer).
If you too want to take pictures of your experiment taking place, you can upload these onto your hwb accounts or email them across to us on there too.
English Keep those Coronavirus diaries up to date! What have you been getting up to over the weekend? Have you joined into a group whatsapp or video call, they seem to be getting really popular recently as people begin to notice not seeing their friends. Activity 2 - There's a sheet over on the right hand side for you to work on based on homophones (words that sound the same but have different meanings). This is a revision task as we covered a lot of this during the last end of the winter term. Please present your work like this; 1. Are you going to the fair? 2. ... |
Maths
I'm not going to ask that you do lots of maths work today, however, attached below is a REALLY USEFUL document that contains all of the information and skills that may come up in year 7 maths!
Your task - Highlight or underline anything you don't think has been covered, or that you're really not very confident with; comment with those areas below. I'll make sure there's work and learning available for those things before we go back to school or you start comp!
