Well year 5, our year has come to an end and what a year it has been. I feel robbed to have only taught you face to face for 6 months, especially as we were making such amazing progress.
Please, when you come back in September, show Miss Jones and Mrs Carson the excellent work ethic you had developed before we left in March as you embark on your final year at OV. They will soon see that they are lucky to have you in their class.
Have a fantastic summer you lovely lot and I will see you all in September.
Take care,
Mrs Bradley xx

Due to Coronavirus, this year's summer Olympics has been postponed. During the 1912 Olympics, Kenneth McCarthur set a new Olympic record for running a marathon in 2 hours, 36 minutes and 54 seconds.

Design a new Gold, Silver and Bronze medal for the next Olympics which will be held next year in Tokyo. Remember there needs to be reference of the date and location on the medal.

Live Aid - 13.7.1985

On this day in 1985, there was a concert both in Wembley, London and in Philadelphia, USA in order to raise money for African Famine Relief. It was a huge success and people still talk about it now; the most famous singers and groups performed and collaborated on a well known Christmas song. If you could organise a concert, what charity would you raise funds for and which singers/groups etc would you invite to perform?

Sudoku

This is a great game to play - using numbers 1-9 only once in a cube but also only once in every row/column. Sounds complicated but the more you do, the easier it gets. Below is one to get you started but if you google sudoku puzzles, you will get lots of interactive versions too.

Have you done one of these yet? Jason Manford is a famous comedian and throughout lockdown he has been streaming quizzes for kids. This is one that he did a while back but keep a look out for when he does them live. Ask your parents to follow him on social media as he announces the dates/times then.
