Hi boys and girls,
Today we want you to be sound detectives and investigate the different ways we can make the ai sound. Please watch the video on this link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-uLFJp5ZtI and then split your page in 3 and write a list of words for the different sounds.  You could look in your reading books for some ideas or ask a grown up if they can think of any and then sort the word into the correct ai, ay, a_e box.  Extra challenge - can you think of any beach themed words with the ai, ay or a_e sound?

ai                ay             a_e
snail           play          Whale

I’ve also attached a read, roll and colour game for you complete once you’ve completed the above task.  All you need for this is a dice and a coloured pencil/pen. Roll your dice and then read the ai word next to that number. Continue until you’ve coloured all the words!  If you don't have access to a printer don't worry just roll your dice and play with the game on your screen so you can practise reading the words.
