Welcome back to a very different Summer term for us all. We hope that you have had an enjoyable Easter break and are ready to do lots of learning. Unfortunately we still are not able to return to school. We miss you very much and look forward to getting back to normal as soon as possible.
We will be posting two activities a day on here and on our Google classroom pages. Please do log onto google classroom as soon as you can as its much easier for us to communicate with each other and you can send us all the lovely learning you have been doing as well as us being able to help you to take that learning further as much as possible while learning from home. Please bare with us, we are new to this technology too, but will help out in any way we can. There are instructions further down the page here, if you still have not managed to log on.
Our topic for this term is 'Beach Combers' so many of our activities will have a beach/seaside theme. As the week goes on some activities will build on each other in order to complete an activity later on. We hope that you all stay safe, stay at home and enjoy learning from home. Don't forget that you have the grid of activities sent home in your learning pack and the learning menu to help with learning over the coming weeks. Also don't forget to keep logging on to Active Learn and read the books you have been allocated. there are plenty of quizzes on there to keep you busy and help you understand what you are reading.
Miss Marchant, Mrs Adams and Mrs Mallinson
The following are two activities for Monday:
1. Literacy activity - Draw 10 things that you might find at the beach. try to be as accurate in your drawing as possible, and don't forget to do amazing colouring. When you have drawn them, can you label each picture, making sure you use your phonics to spell accurately and use a dictionary to check your spellings. You could extend this task when you have finished by researching information about your items, and putting them in an order of importance at the beach, giving reasons why you choose the most and least important. You can photograph your work and upload it to google classroom.
2. Maths activity - Problem solving activity involving multiplication. You will need number cards 0-5 as shown in the activity. You can make these easily with pieces of paper. If you child finds this too difficult, practise using the number cards to make and learn the multiples of 2, 5 and 10. Again once you can completed the task don't forget to upload it to google classroom so we can see your amazing work!
