Today, you could have a go at making a chatterbox. Follow the video below for help. You may need a grown up to help you with the folding. Have fun!
Today I would like you to chat to your family about where you would like to go when the virus has gone. Maybe you could make a list altogether or places you would like to go or things you would like to do? You can share your ideas with us in the comments section below.
Hello everyone, today we have a family workout card for you to complete. Maths and English tasks are over on our google classroom page. Have fun!
Learning Objective: identify 10 more and 10 less than a given number on a hundred square.
There is a short video below for you to watch first which shows you how easy it can be to add and subtract 10 from a number when using a 100 square. The numbers for today are attached in the word document below and you can edit this or record your answers on paper in a similar way. I have completed an example for you and included a challenge for those who want to complete this.
New story this week - The Hungry Caterpillar.
Watch the video, or read the book if it is in your bookcase. Once you have finished, can you fix the sentences? You need to read the sentences carefully because words might be misspelt and/or missing capital letters/full stops.
Remember to upload and tap the 'hand in' button.
Hello everyone, todays task is a problem solving activity using coins. You will need some 10ps and 1ps and as with the activity before, if you don't have these at home, you can make some or just draw some to help you find your answers.
Feel free to send me any written work but you don't have too if you work practically instead. Grown ups can let me know how you get on and how far you manage to get. Remember to click hand in so I know who has completed the activity.
Learning Objective: to make 2 digit numbers using coins.
Today you are making amounts using coins. If you don't have the real coins in the house you could draw some and cut them out or even draw coins for your answers. Please select one column to complete from the easy, medium, hard choices.
If you would like an extra challenge, see if you can make the same amount in different ways e.g. 20p using 2 10p coins or 1 10p and 10 1p.
Feel free to upload any work you complete but if you would like this to be a practical activity, then all I ask is that parents let me know how you got on and which column you chose to complete! Don't forget to click to hand in the work even if there aren't any attachments.
Todays task is a problem solving activity but you will need to log in to active learn for this one. It is called Treasure Hunt and you will find it under the abacus tab. See if you can take on the challenge and find out what is the most money you could collect when moving through the rooms - it make take you a few goes.
Remember to click the hand in button when you have completed and I will be able to see how you got on when I log into my active learn account.
Today's task is for you to write down the amount of coins shown. You will need to use your understanding of tens and ones after completing the partitioning task from yesterday.
There are 3 sheets - easy, medium and hard. Please complete one of your choice but you may complete all if you want to.
You can edit the sheet below if you know how or write your answers on a piece of paper labelling if you have completed sheet 1, 2 or 3.
Well done for all your hard work this week boys and girls.
I have attached Elmer phonics phase 2 -5. I would like you to start from phase 2 and see how far you can go. If there are some sounds you don't know, maybe you could practise them for the next couple of days.
Can you retell the story of Elmer?
This can either be shown in pictures, sentences, words or voice recorded.
I have attached the story to help you.
Learning Objective: Locate 2-digit numbers on 100-square and begin to partition 2-digit numbers into 10s and 1s.
Please have a look at the power point below which is all about partitioning. Once you have seen this, you will need to locate the numbers listed below, locate them on the 100 square and then partition them.
For example: 23 = 20 and 3
Please upload a photo of your work when you hand it in.
For an extra challenge, see if you can partition any 3 digit numbers e.g. 145 = 100, 40 and 5
Your maths and literacy tasks have been uploaded for you to complete. If you don't have your username and password please email me - firstname.lastname@example.org
Literacy - Watch the story of Elmer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSo9fQmpZs0) I would like you to write 6 or more adjectives to describe Elmer the elephant. For example: colourful, helpful, bright, playful.
If you want to challenge yourself, write 6 or more sentences using your adjectives. For example: Elmer is a young colourful elephant.
Maths - Watch the video 'When You Subtract with a Pirate' and then complete the sums. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkPa9V2wtZs&feature=emb_title)
They have been split into easy, medium and hard so you can choose which column will be best for you.
Remember you could use objects, number-lines or 100 squares to help you if you need it. Also write your sums out neatly so I can read your answers easily.

Good morning Class 3,
I hope you are all well and staying safe. It has been a very strange 2 weeks but it looks like you are doing a brilliant job learning at home. I have seen lots of tweets of you doing your activities.
Today is your last activity before your 2 week break. I would like you to read a book, practise your spellings, number formation, make an easter card and/or choose an activity from one of the pictures.
There are some activities on google classroom if you wish to continue to learn over the easter break, but it is not necessary.
Today's task is one you are all familiar with, can you fix the sentences? Each one is incorrect and you will need to write it out using capital letters and full stops in the correct places.
This task is also available on Google Classroom. If you don't have your child's login email - firstname.lastname@example.org.
