Morning Boys, Girls and Parents
Today's story is The Gingerbread Man. This is to conclude our Topic 'Will You Read Me A Story'. Please continue to share books and story's with your children. Remember I've allocated your child books on active learn too. Please read over the guidance pages for the books as they are good prompts.
As we are concluding fairytales take a look at some alternative fairytale stories. Here is a list of a few:
You don't always have to use books though. Edwards and I often use puppets and masks and we make story bags/sacks with these in. Choose a book and then decide what games and activities you could put in your bag to accompany the story. Use your free access to the 'Twinkl' website as it has many free resources. You may want to use a book to start your own topic e.g. If you choose 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' you could start a topic on life cycles.
Alternately help your child to make their own story using their own toys, questioning and posing situations for them to solve in their play. Make theatres behind the sofa and film them. Edwards and I would really love to see any way that your child is learning at home. You can send any evidence through the Google Classroom.
Below I've added a sign assisted QR story for your child to enjoy.

Below I've added a guide to understanding questioning levels. Please note that for most of our class we will be working a the first two levels. Adapt the questions for each book you read. Read the book first and decide which question you would like to focus on from that level. Mr Whaley, class 2, has a good example of this on his class page for the story 'Room On A Broom'.
