Morning Boys, Girls and Parents,

This terms topic is 'Are we there yet?' This topic looks at journeys. We always like to start with a story. So I've added one of our favourite stories. 'The Journey Home from Grandpa's  House.
In this story they start at their home and go on a journey to their Grandpa's house. Today I'd like you to think about your own house and what rooms you have in your home.

Game 1: Role Play; Have you got a dolls house/ play tent? Use your toys and play house. Set up a play kitchen with food and pretend to cook etc.

Game 2: Paint a picture of your house. You can you use make a shape picture (using shapes)  if your child isn't ready to paint.

Game 3: Log into www.hwb.gov.wales. On the home page open the j2e app. Then open j2whiteboard. Here they will be able to draw a picture.

Game 4: Can you go into all the rooms in the houses and name them? Can you name all of the things that you would find in that room e.g. bathroom; toilet, sink, bath, shower. etc.

Game 5: Can you draw or get your parents to scribe a room plan with all of those items in. E.g. Kitchen; cooker, sink, window, door etc.

Game 6: Draw a plan a birds eye view of the floor plan of your house, upstairs and downstairs.

Parents please remember that these games are progressive and I don't expect everyone to be able to do them all. Pick a game that suits your child.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Keep Safe
