Parents evening is being held week beginning 17th May. You can book your virtual appointment by scanning the QR code on the letter you recently received. If you have misplaced yours and would like another, please ask!
Our topic this term is 'Once upon a time'. We have been reading the books - The Three Billy Goat's Gruff, The Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk and The Gingerbread Man. Here are some photos from this term so far. We planted some broad beans like Jack in the story and we have made some delicious Gingerbread Man. We have explored materials and considered what type of material would be best for a house for the pigs as well as designing a bridge for the goats to cross to escape the troll. We also considered other options to help Gingerbread man cross the river. We made some boats and thought about what material is best for a boat. We learnt that some materials are waterproof.
Full time nursery children have moved onto phase 3 Letters and sounds. We have learnt all the letters in phase two and we are now on Set 6: j, v, w, x
Set 7: y, z, zz, qu
Part time children are exploring sounds in the environment and are working on Phase 1 Letters and Sounds.

One of our favourite activities is 'Squiggle when you Wiggle' and we love to mark make to the music. We are also making good progress with our letters and sounds and we are on set 3.
In Phase 2, letters and their sounds are introduced one at a time. A set of letters is taught each week, in the following sequence:
