Hi everyone! It appears that the class code for our class isn't working as it should so I've emailed IT and hopefully I'll hear back soon and I can post the class code on here. In the meantime....
Literacy -
Today I'd like your child to think about what sound their name begins with. Then I'd like you to read a book together and see how many times you can find that letter! Children at this stage in Nursery might start pointing out letters and print around them to you e.g. "Look I can see a T for my name". They may not know the letter sound or name but they know it is familiar to them.  Try with other family member names too.
Maths -
Today I'd like you to do some estimating! Look at a small handful of buttons/coins/cars/dinosaurs and before counting them - make an estimate. After estimating they can carefully touch count the objects. Encourage the children to make a sensible guess and not a wild guess.
Thanks everyone for your patience with online learning. I will continue to post the main focus tasks on here. These will remain as practical as possible so that the learning is fun!
