Literacy
We are going to carry on with alliteration today. Take a look at the picture and below and see if you can spot.....
sad sun,
silver, spotty snake
small sailboat
sneaky seagull
stinky, smelly sausages
super-slippy sand
sparkling sea
spotty snake skin
Can you think of any other things that start with the ‘s’ sound?
Can you count how many things there are in the poster that start with ‘s’?

Game - Bertha goes to the zoo
Set up a small toy zoo/farm. Use a toy bus/car and a bag of animal toys with names starting with the same sound (e.g. a lion, a lizard, a leopard, a llama and a lobster) to act out this story. Chant the following rhyme and allow your child in turn to pick an animal out of the bag and add an animal name to the list of animals spotted at the zoo.
Bertha the bus is going to the zoo,
Who does she see as she passes through? ... (e.g. a lion, a lizard, a leopard, a llama and a lobster)
Repeat the activity using different animals starting with the same sound.
Maths
