Thank you for all your email requests for the Hwb. I'm still trying to get to grips with this online learning platform and will be looking into this a bit more over the next week or so.
I will continue to put everything on the website until its up and running smoothly.

Have a go at the following number challenges.

Shout out to Eliah for the lovely work she has emailed me through the hwb! Please email me at Jonesf810@hwbcymru.net for your email and password for the hwb. This is an online classroom where I can post work, you can upload work and I can make a comment.  This is brilliant for the children to use as they can show me their work and we can stay in touch.

Activity for today -

Silly Soup!
Using a real or imaginary bowl and a real or imaginary spoon, take it in turns to stir the soup and sing the rhyme...

The Silly Soup Song (to tune of Pop goes the Weasel)
I’m making lots of silly soup,

I’m making soup that’s silly.

I’m going to put it in the fridge,

To make it nice and chilly

Say - "I'm going to put in a hat"

Repeat the rhyme and the next person says something that rhymes with hat  i.e.  cat
Repeat the rhyme and carry on with real or nonsense words.

Change the rhyming words to other simple rhyming w
ords e.g. words that rhyme with hen, dog, wig, man and so on.

 Good Morning!
I hope you had a nice weekend and are ready to start the week!
The caterpillars are still in their cocoons and haven't changed since last Monday. Hopefully they'll start emerging soon! I've spotted some caterpillars in my garden. Have you seen any?
Keep going with your packs and today have a go at some maths challenges.

If you want to give Joe Wicks a break then switch to some yoga with www.cosmickids.com or through their youtube channel.
Lots of themed yoga exercises such as Frozen, Trolls, Minecraft and Pokemon!

Don't forget to email me to check out the Nursery Hwb page. Scroll down for details.

Hope you are all safe and well. I'm no IT expert but I have tried to create a hub for our class where you can find assignments, be able to share work with me and contact me if you wish.
To login to Hwb.gov.wales you will need your child's personal email and password which you can get from me by emailing me at jonesf810@hwbcymru.net
Please bear with me as I might have a lot of emails to reply to and this is the first time I've set up a hwb!

Pete the Cat!

The Nursery children love 'Pete the Cat' stories and their two favourite stories are 'Pete the Cat and his White Shoes' and 'Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons'. These stories are available on youtube and the website petethecatbooks.com.  Very catchy songs and fun stories!

Wednesday 25th March
Listen to the story Pete the Cat I love my white shoes. Help your child draw around their feet several times on paper, then cut them out and colour them in. They can they re-tell the story to you using their cut out shoes as props! Have fun!

Real PE at home - online learning resource.

Real PE at home includes an online programme which supports families to be active, play and learn together. It includes a programme specifically for children in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 with 12 themes, 6 areas, over 250 activities and challenges and 1000s of hours of fun and activity. This programme is also great for family play and fun. It also includes a programme for children in Key Stage 2, with daily and weekly guidance provided for both programmes in addition to an option to choose your own themes and activities. There are so many benefits to being active, not only to our physical wellbeing but also to our emotional and mental health, especially in such testing times for all of us. Caterpillars Update!

The Caterpillars are doing really well in my home . They have all cocooned. Have a look at the pictures!

I'd recommend watching and joining with Shonette Bason-Wood and her Dough Disco each morning at 9.30am on her youtube channel 'spread the happiness'. Get your play dough ready and join in!  If you've not got play dough then there are lots of non-cook play dough recipes on line or as Shonette advises - just use imaginary dough!
Today you could look at the life cycle of a butterfly and sing the song 'theres a tiny caterpillar on a leaf'.  You could get your jigsaws puzzles out and think about developing fine motor skills  - jigsaws, cutting, sticking, threading, play dough, drawing. Enjoy!
