|Ogmore Vale Primary|
It has been a fantastic first week back and it has been lovely seeing all your smiling faces. We've done lots of learning, read the book ZOG by Julia Donaldson and completed a book review. We've done lots of arts and crafts and been super readers in our new reading corner. Keep up the great work Class 14!
Good morning everyone!
What's your favourite book? Choose a book you've read that you really enjoyed and create your own book review. Record yourself telling me what your favourite book is.
Include things such as;
- The title.
- The author.
- Talk about the front cover, what characters are on it? Is it colourful?
- Your favourite part.
- Why you liked this book. Was it funny? Did it have cool illustrations? (pictures)
- Are there any parts you don't like about the book.
- Did it have a happy ending?
Record your video and upload it to Google Classroom. Use a big, clear voice.
Good morning everyone!
Some of you will be returning to school tomorrow and all of you will be back in Monday. I know it can be a nervous time the first day back, I felt very nervous. We are all in this together. To calm our nerves I thought we could make a 'Joy Jar' this will be a jar full of happy thoughts. Take a jar from your home, if you do not have a jar a little box will work just fine. Cut up paper to make little pieces of paper, on these little pieces of paper write some things you're excited about when returning to school;
- Seeing friends.
- Learning new things.
- Making new friends.
- Playing in the yard.
Put these into your joy jar and whenever you feel nervous pick a happy thought out to read. Decorate your jar so when you look at it it makes you happy. Use paint, stickers, glitter, anything to make your joy jar look amazing! There are some photos below for you to look at.
Take a photo and upload it to Google Classroom.
Good morning everyone!
I thought we could become artists and create our very own self portrait! A self portrait is a picture of you. Our self portraits have a little twist. We are going to create a self portrait out of an 'unusual material'. I have attached some examples below for you to look at, you could use different coloured buttons instead of pencils, maybe different coloured string or even breakfast cereal like cheerios! Explore your home and see what different materials you could use. Be as creative as possible.
Look in the mirror and draw your self portrait first in pencil before filling it with colour using your 'unusual material'.
Once you've finished take a photo and upload it to Google Classroom. I'd love to post some on the school website to show off!
Hope you enjoy!
Hello everyone, I hope you all had a lovely summer holidays. I can't wait to hear all about it. I'm looking forward to meeting you when you're all back in but until then head over to Google Classroom to find the fun activities I have waiting for you this week. Instructions on how to access Google Classroom are on this page.
Don't forget to bring those big smiles into school with you! See you soon,
Miss Jones :-) x
Good morning everyone! I haven't taught any of you before so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get to know you a little bit before you come back. Draw around your hand on a piece of paper, for each finger write one thing about you. When you have finished I will know five things about you I didn't know before, these things could include;
- Your name.
- Your age.
- Your favourite book.
- Your favourite food.
- If you have any pets.
Try to write in a full sentence on each finger,
E.g. My name is Miss Jones.
I have two dogs.
I have attached a picture below to help you. Colour it in once you've finished and upload a photo to Google Classroom!
Hi everyone I just wanted you to all know that I will not be your teacher in September. I will still be in school and coming in all the time to see you. Please watch the video to meet your new teacher Miss Jones, you already know her as she has been teaching in our school for a while.
Hi everyone. Has anyone completed the picture from yesterday?
If you have send me some pictures.
