New approach to homework

Homework will be starting the week beginning the 23rd September.

This year your child’s homework will be based on a more creative approach, each child will have a book called Sharing Book (in Year 1 & Year 2) and Learning Log (in Year 3 – Year 6).

Each week pupils will be given:

• a mathematical explore task based on the work they have been doing in class
• a task linked to either their topic, the work they have covered in science or the work they have covered in literacy.

They will complete this task in their Sharing Book/Learning Log. They can complete these activities in any creative way that they choose, written, fold out flaps, charts, pictures, diagrams etc. Homework will go out on Thursday and will need to be returned on Tuesday. We will share the Sharing Books/Learning Logs on a Tuesday so that the children learn from each other. If you have any questions please see you child’s class teacher.
