Today is World Book Day. World Book Day changes lives through a love of books and shared reading. Their mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. To celebrate the day, we will be:
- sharing the story ' The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Our Math focus will be the days of the week and making connections to what he did on each day. We shall also be counting and matching sets of fruit 1-5.
- we are continuing to share the stories 'Feed The Birds' and 'The Three Little Pigs'. In our group reading.
- we will have time in our library area. Here we have a mix of fiction/non fiction books in English and Welsh We call this time ERIC. This stands for 'everyone read in class'. Here the children can choose their favourite books to look through.
- we will be sharing the story 'Duck and the Balloon' using Bug club. We allocated this story to your children so you can share at home. You can do this by login into www.activelearnprimary.co.uk. You will need your child's login details.
