We hope everyone had a lovely week off, in spite of the horrible weather!! It's lovely to see everyone back and ready to learn.
We have been using the vocabulary for 'measure' this week...full/empty (not full; big/small (not big), nearly full/empty. Children love filling containers up then tipping the contents out so get those jugs and bowls out and fill and empty!!!
We have also been following directions with very these important words: left and right, up and down, forwards, backwards and sideways. We have started to turning face different parts of our room to begin using terms like half turn, quarter turn, full turn (we always turn to the right at the moment, just like the hands of a clock!)
Our youngest children have been enjoying the story about the lady who swallowed all those animals!!! Great for naming and sequencing!!

Our older boys and girls have started looking at a new book...we have our very own Big Box and will be using it to make ourselves a 'playhouse' of our own. If you have any old cardboard boxes, big or small, see what you can create with them...send in your work or take a photo to share.
