Today we are going to have fun with food. We hope you will all enjoy eating the tasks after you have made them. We would love to see a photo of you having fun learning so please send any photos to our Hwb email addresses at the side of this page.
Game 2: Make a fruit kebab. For todays task you will need real fruit. Slice /chop 2/3 different fruit. You will need a food stick or straw to thread your fruit onto. With the fruit, challenge your child to make a repeating pattern e.g. strawberry, grape, strawberry, grape, strawberry etc. Discuss the repeating pattern with your child. Can you make another pattern with your fruit? e.g. banana, banana, orange, banana, banana, orange....... Then the best bit... EAT IT!
Game 1: Mr Potato Head scavenger hunt is a fun way to multi purpose toys that you have in your home. Hide the pieces around the room or garden and ask your child to find them commenting when they find a piece e.g What piece is it?, Challenge your child to point to the same parts on their body? Parents you can introduce positional language e.g. 'on, under, next to'. As a more challenging activity for the older children in the class, ask them to do the commenting e.g. 'I found a head under the bench'. You can use a basket or build him as you go or when all the pieces have been. This could transfer to other build it toys. Have Fun!
Game 2: Gingerbread Man Scavenger Hunt For this game you will need some Gingerbread men. Firstly you will need to create some clues for the space e.g. garden or house. I've thought of some for you. Then hide the Gingerbread Man and put the clues in place. Have lots of fun, but best of all have fun eating and spending time together.
Some clue ideas....
Lets start our hunt up on the stairs lets go to the place where we dry our hair
*Head to the room with a bath and sink
*Brrrr it's chilly in here with the cheese and ham
*Head to the room where we cwtch and watch TV
*It's dark in here with the door closed, sometimes I make the sound ping, ping, ping
*This has been fun, but I know when I'm beat. You'll find me hiding under the place where we eat!
Today I would like you to watch how to make a Gingerbread Man and make them together. Will you make a Gingerbread Men or Gingerbread lady's?
