We're sure you're all looking forward to a week off (and the extra day, lucky you!!) to recharge those batteries. Even though things are so very different at the moment, we're sure you'll have a tip-top time. Why not try some Autumn sensory activities? ![]() Collect some fallen leaves, sticks, acorns, pine cones and make a gorgeous Autumn work of art...don't forget to take a picture and bring us a copy to put in your book!! ![]() Search through those cupboards and see if you have any 'old' packets of flour/rice/custard powder that you can make marks in. You can always use sand if you have any. Use your fingers, or a stick, or a wooden spoon to create fabulous patterns or write your name. ![]() And don't forget to reuse those leave to make a face...just look at this fab foxy face using a sycamore leaf. Get creative!! Who can make a hedgehog? Or a squirrel...???? Whatever you get up to, make sure to have a funtastic time. Remember to check out the Abacus website for some familiar and brand new reading books. Be safe and well and we'll see you in November. Lots of love from Edwards and Povey xx

We love a Jack video to get us moving, dancing and singing along to some counting songs! We have been counting in 2s for the past few weeks and naming even numbers. Get your disco ball spinning, get on your best disco gear and sing, dance and count along....all the way to 100!!
Hello everyone.
Next week we will be exploring and talking about 'harvest'. We will be looking at harvest fruit and vegetables. Please could you send in a piece of seasonal fruit or vegetables with your child so we have a nice selection to look at. Please could you write in their home school book that it's for our harvest investigation just in case we eat it!! Thank you for supporting us! Keep Safe Edwards and Povey xx We have been enjoying an old favourite story this week...Animal Boogie. We love a good sing-along book and this one is soooooo good for actions. Can you leap like the leopard? Slither like the snake or swing like a monkey. Put on you boogie boots and go wild with the animals in the story. Don't forget to get in touch if you need any help or advice. Be safe. Cofion oddiwrth Edwards a Povey
Those Autumn leaves keep on falling, so get your wellies and your raincoat on and go hunting. Can you find some yellow leaves? Some red ones? How about orange leaves? Can you find a leaf that is multcoloured????? Can you hear a crunch when you walk on the leaves...pick some up and scrunch them in your hands, but keep one for us!! Send in some of the autumn leaves you've hunted down so we can add them to our Autumn tuff spot. Keep your eyes open for conkers, conker shells and pine cones ..... we'll add them as well. Happy hunting from Edwards and Povey. |
