Our new topic for the Spring Term is Tomorrow’s World. We will be focusing on modern day communication and technology. Your home learning topic tasks for the next 3 days will be based on the history of computing.
1. As a start to this exciting new project we would like you to create a presentation to educate others about the history of computers. Make your presentation creative and interesting, but stay on topic and make it easy for anyone to understand. Your presentation should have a minimum of 6 important facts that include details and full explanations. You should include pictures and ensure that your font is large enough and easy to read. Here are some sites where you can find some information:
• http://www.pbs.org/nerds/timeline/
Please do not copy and paste from the internet - put the facts you have discovered in your own words.
2. Complete the ‘History of Computing’ reading comprehension. There are 3 chillies for this task. Complete the one that you feel most comfortable with (1 chilli has one star at the bottom etc). You can write out your answers on a separate sheet or write on the sheet and attach it on an email or in Google Classroom.
3. Use your research to answer the questions on the History of Computing quiz.
Please send your completed presentations and the other work you have completed to us via email or on Google Classroom by Friday afternoon.
Don't forget to access Activelearn for your reading and maths activities.
