We wrote our formal letters of complaint in role as Naledi, the main character from Journey to Jo'burg. I was very impressed with how the formal vocabulary and varied sentence starters were used.
In maths we have practised doubling, halving, rounding and rounding to estimate. We really don't like getting wrong answers so we had to discuss that estimating is an important skill to learn.
Our science and topic this week was based around wonderful water. We safely conducted experiments to observe water changing state from solid to liquid to gas and then back again. We discovered that not all countries are fortunate to have easy access to clean water and we learnt what our daily water usage is and how to conserve water.
Congratulations to our stars of the week:
Eliza - Inspire award
Alithia - Handwriting and presentation award
On another note...we had a surprise in our class this morning when this note was left for us on the whiteboard...
