In English, we have continued with our formal letter writing journey by organising and evaluating letters and by practising formal vocabulary, which was very funny wasn't it Ollie and Jacob P?
We focused on fractions in Maths - understanding what each part of the fraction represents, adding fractions, making wholes, identifying equivalent fractions and calculating fractions of amounts. So boys and girls, if we have tired brains this weekend - that is why!
Our topic this week looked at the continent of Africa, identifying countries in Africa and researching a chosen African country using ICT. In amongst that, we learnt about Remembrance Day and respectfully observed a 2 minute silence at 11am on 11/11. Also on Friday, for Children in Need we had a wellbeing afternoon 'Film Friday' and I have to say it was the quietest, most relaxed I have seen you this year so a great fundraising choice by our head and deputy head boys and girls.
See the photographs below of our Remembrance Tribute and our Film Friday for CIN.
Congratulations to our stars of the week:
Troy - Inspire Award for being ambitious in Maths
Misha - Handwriting and Presentation Award
